Is God calling you to share your faith in Jesus Christ?  Trusting in Jesus is the greatest thing that can happen to anyone.  Sharing that faith in Christ is sometimes hard to do.  What do you say?  What verses do you use?  Maybe it's hard for you to talk to others, no gift of gab.  Everyone who has accepted Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord has a story, a personal testimony.  The easiest and most effective way to tell someone about Christ is to tell them your story.  http://www.mostimportantthing.org/ gives you a place on the world wide web to tell your story.  You can now get a business card with your name on it with the web address of your personal testimony.  After you submit your story, it will be reviewed and placed on the web site.  Contact the church office and we can get you some cards that you can hand out to those you meet throughout your day.

Write your personal testimony.  We have provided you with guidelines on how to do this.

  1. GUIDE TO WRITING YOUR PERSONAL TESTIMONY

    Life before Christ:

    • In this section let others know how Christ makes a difference in your day to day life and briefly describe your life before Christ.

Write what you felt and experienced before you came to know Christ.  Be careful not to get too detailed at this point.  Don't glamorize your past.

    How I met Christ:

    • How, specifically, you became a Christian.

    • Include events and circumstances that led to you discovering your need for Christ.  Many times we make the mistake of describing our baptism, not our conversion.  Focus on when Christ became your Savior and Lord.

    • Briefly include:  your realization that you were a sinner; how you turned from your sin and trusted Christ personally; the steps you took to invite Christ into your life (sinner's prayer)

    Life after decision:

    • Describe the differences that accepting Christ has made in your life.

    • How has accepting Christ changed your life?  What has God done and what is God doing in your life that has strengthened and affirmed your relationship with Him?  Relate back to how Christ changed the areas you struggled with before you accepted Him into your life.

    NOTE:

Make it personal.  Keep it brief--300 words total (300 words go fast!).  Keep details down to only those that are needed.  Try to avoid church words that some may not understand, i.e. "salvation", "repent", etc.

  2. Submit your testimony, your church web site, your email address, and a photo (if you'd like) to
  3. Wait for it to be reviewed and placed on the web site.
  4. Get your cards from the church office.
  5. Hand them out to those who need to know what gives you purpose in your life.

Mostimportantthing.org will email you whenever someone reads your story and will let you know if someone accepts Christ because you shared your story.
